Chisledon lies just south of Swindon in rural Wiltshire, easily reached via Junction 15 of the M4 and the A419. The village sits on elevated ground near the ancient Ridgeway path, with the A346 providing the main north-south connection to Marlborough. Its 13th-century parish church contains a remarkably preserved medieval doom painting above the chancel arch.
