Chirnside perches on elevated ground in the Scottish Borders, about 10km west of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The A6105 runs through the village, connecting to the A1 for Edinburgh or Newcastle, whilst the B6437 links westward to Duns. It's both a waypoint for long-distance travellers and a local hub for surrounding farming communities, with roughly 16 EV charging points nearby. The village church houses a memorial window to Formula One champion Jim Clark, who's buried in the churchyard.
