Chilton Polden lies on the Somerset Levels between the Mendips and Quantocks, about 6 miles northeast of Bridgwater. Access is via the A39 from M5 Junction 23, or the B3141 from Glastonbury direction. The 13th-century church of St Michael houses a rare medieval stone rood screen.
