Childrey is a small Oxfordshire village in the Vale of White Horse, reached via the A417 from Wantage or the B4507 through the downs. The A34 provides the main long-distance connection to the M4 and Oxford, whilst local routes serve nearby settlements like Sparsholt and the Challows. The village church contains a remarkable medieval wall painting of Saint Christopher, one of the county's finest examples.
