Chilcomb lies just outside Winchester in the Hampshire countryside, easily reached via the M3 to Junction 9 then local roads. Most visitors arrive along the M3 corridor from London or Southampton, whilst the A272 offers a scenic alternative through the South Downs. The settlement sits near St. Catherine's Hill, crowned by its famous clump of beech trees that's been a local landmark since Iron Age times.
