Chelfham

Chelfham is a small North Devon village reached via the A361 from Barnstaple, about 8km southwest. The B3230 and local lanes connect it to neighbouring villages like Goodleigh and Bratton Fleming, whilst the A39 provides coastal access. Royal Marines Base Chivenor sits nearby with its military airfield. The 13th-century parish church of St. James features an unusual detached wooden bell tower.
