Chapeltown sits along the N70 Ring of Kerry route on County Kerry's Atlantic coast, about 45 kilometres southwest of Killarney. The town serves as a handy base for exploring the Iveragh Peninsula, with easy connections to Waterville and Cahersiveen. Golfers flock here for access to Skellig Bay Golf and the famous Waterville course nearby. From Dublin, take the M7 to Limerick, then N21 to Tralee and N70 west. Cork drivers go via N22 to Killarney before joining the coastal route. The town offers direct views of the Skellig Islands, where 6th-century monks built their monastery and recent Star Wars scenes were filmed.
