Chainhurst

Chainhurst is a small Kent market town reached via the A229 and country lanes from Maidstone, about 10km northwest. Long-distance visitors use Junction 8 of the M20 near Hollingbourne. The surrounding countryside features traditional oast houses with their distinctive cone-shaped roofs, once used for hop drying and now serving as navigation landmarks.
