Chaceley

England

England

Chaceley is a small Gloucestershire village between the Severn Vale and Cotswold escarpment, about 15km southwest of Tewkesbury. Reach it via the A38 from Gloucester or Tewkesbury, then west through Tirley on minor roads, or from M5 Junction 9. The area sits on gently rolling farmland where the Severn's floodplain meets higher ground. The village church houses a rare 14th-century wooden knight's effigy, one of only a few such medieval wooden tomb sculptures surviving in England.
