Catterick Camp is one of Britain's largest military installations, set in North Yorkshire countryside near the River Swale. Access is straightforward via Junction 51 of the A1(M), connecting to the A6136. The A6108 provides the main local route from Richmond, 8km away. The camp's training ground spans 40,000 acres, making it larger than many English counties.
