Cathkin lies in South Lanarkshire, just southeast of Glasgow via the M74 (Junction 2 or 3). Local routes include the A749 and A724 to neighbouring communities like Cambuslang and Burnside, whilst the M8 provides quick access to Glasgow city centre. The area boasts over 350 EV charging points along major corridors. Most remarkably, the abandoned terraces of Cathkin Park still stand as a ghostly monument to Third Lanark FC, which folded in 1967.
