Castlebridge sits where the River Slaney meets Wexford Harbour, making it a handy stop between Wexford town and Rosslare Europort. The N25 runs straight through, connecting Cork to the ferry port, while local traffic moves easily between Wexford (10km south) and Enniscorthy (15km northwest). It's grand for day trips to Rosslare beach or the championship golf course overlooking the sea. The town takes its name from a medieval stone bridge that once crossed the Slaney, though today's concrete version replaced it centuries back.
