Castleblaney sits right on the N2 between Dublin and the North, making it a handy stop for anyone crossing the border into Armagh. The town's perfectly placed for day trips to Monaghan, Dundalk, or Armagh, all within half an hour's drive. You'll find about 20 EV charging points scattered around for longer journeys. The name comes from an old tower house that used to stand here, though nowadays it's Hope Castle that catches your eye from the main road, a proper Gothic mansion that houses the council offices and looks like something from a Victorian novel.
