Carmyle lies 8km east of Glasgow city centre along the River Clyde, easily reached via the M74 (Junction 2A) or A749 London Road. The area connects well to the M8 and M73 for longer journeys, whilst local routes serve daily commuters from Mount Vernon and eastern Glasgow districts. Over 350 EV charging points are available across the wider area. The community sits beside historic Bothwell Bridge, site of the 1679 Covenanter battle.
