Callaghanstown lies in County Londonderry's countryside, 11km from Derry city centre via the A5. It's well-positioned for exploring the Sperrins or reaching City of Derry Airport, with the A6 providing an alternative route through Drumahoe. The area serves daily commuters to Derry whilst offering scenic country lanes for longer journeys toward Tyrone or Donegal. The local Protestant church boasts an unusual octagonal bell tower from 1847, built with distinctive red Claudy sandstone.
