Calder Mains is a small Highland settlement in Caithness, reached via the A9 and A99 through dramatic northern Scottish countryside. The area connects scattered rural communities with minor roads linking to Brawlbin, Scotscalder and neighbouring villages within a few kilometres. About four EV charging points serve the locality. The settlement derives its name from the River Calder, which flows north through the area creating the fertile farmland that has sustained local communities for centuries.
