Calbourne lies in the Isle of Wight's peaceful western interior, reached via the B3401 from either Yarmouth (following the A3054) or from Newport via the A3054 westbound. The village sits amongst rolling downland between Newbridge and the coastal settlements, making it a quiet base for exploring this less-visited part of the island. Calbourne boasts Winkle Street, claimed to be one of England's shortest streets at just a few metres long.
