Buxworth is a small Derbyshire village in the Peak District's northwest corner, positioned along the Manchester-Sheffield railway corridor. Access via the A6 from Manchester (25km north) or Sheffield via A57 then A6. The village sits at about 200 meters elevation, bringing cooler temperatures and frequent mist from surrounding moors. The area has over 90 public EV charging points for exploring the Peak District. Buxworth's highlight is its beautifully preserved 19th-century canal basin where the Peak Forest Canal ends in original stone-lined wharves.
