Busveal lies amid Cornwall's old mining country, reached via the A393 from Redruth and the A30. The surrounding villages of Higher Ninnis, Lower Ninnis, and St. Day are all within a couple of miles on quiet B-roads. RNAS Culdrose helicopter base operates nearby. The landscape bristles with atmospheric mining ruins, including beam engine houses that once kept the deep tin mines operational.
