Bustatoun sits on Sanday in the northern Orkneys, reachable by ferry from Kirkwall or via the island's small airport. The settlement clusters with neighbouring Nesstoun and Hollandstoun along Sanday's main road, surrounded by the island's characteristic sandy beaches and archaeological treasures. The highlight is Quoyness Chambered Cairn, a remarkably preserved 5,000-year-old Neolithic tomb.
