Burghfield lies in the Berkshire countryside between Reading and Basingstoke, easily reached via Junction 12 of the M4 and the A4 westbound. The village connects to Reading through local roads for daily commuting, whilst the A340 provides links south towards Basingstoke. Electric vehicle charging is well-covered with over 200 public fast chargers nearby. The village houses the Atomic Weapons Establishment, Britain's nuclear weapons design facility since 1950.
