Bulcote is a small Nottinghamshire village beside the River Trent, about 8km northeast of Nottingham via the A612 through Burton Joyce. The A6097 provides eastern access through Lowdham, whilst the A46 offers broader regional connections. The village sits in the fertile Trent Valley countryside and retains its historic chain ferry crossing point over the river, a reminder of pre-bridge transport links.
