Bucksburn lies on Aberdeen's northern edge, just off the A96 trunk road that connects the Granite City to Inverurie and the Highlands. This former mill town sits 6 kilometres from Aberdeen city centre, with the A947 branching north toward Banff and the coast. Aberdeen International Airport is a quick 3-kilometre drive via Dyce, whilst approximately 100 fast charging points serve the wider Aberdeen area for electric vehicles. The old Stoneywood Paper Mill, closed since 2001, remains the town's most recognisable landmark.
