Buckpool forms part of the string of fishing villages along Moray's coast, sitting between Buckie and the smaller harbours to the east. Reach it via the A98 coastal road from either direction, or connect from inland via the A942 through whisky country. The village retains its original stone harbour walls from the herring boom era.
