Bruton lies in Somerset's countryside between Bath and Yeovil, accessible via the A359 which connects to major routes including the M4 and A303. This former wool town now attracts visitors for its galleries and independent shops clustered around the medieval center. The 16th-century packhorse bridge on Dovecote Street remains so narrow that cars must take turns crossing the River Brue.
