Bruff is a handy market town in County Limerick, about 25 kilometres southeast of Limerick city where several regional roads meet. The R512 from Limerick takes 30 minutes through Croom, while drivers from Cork use the N20 to Charleville then the R515 west. The weekly livestock mart on Thursday mornings is one of Munster's busiest, with farmers gathering from across the region as auctioneers call out prices for cattle and sheep in rapid-fire Irish style.
