Broughtown is a small community on Sanday in the northern Orkneys, reached by ferry from Kirkwall or via the island's small airport. The B9068 connects the scattered settlements across this flat, windswept island known for its beaches and archaeology. Most notably, it provides access to the remarkable 5,000-year-old Quoyness Chambered Cairn.
