Broomielaw forms part of Glasgow's redeveloped riverside, easily reached via the M8 or city centre streets like Argyle Street. The former industrial quayside now mixes modern flats with offices and sits between the Merchant City and West End. Stone abutments from the demolished Victorian suspension bridge still mark the old river crossing.
