Brookwood lies in Surrey between Guildford and Woking, just off Junction 11 of the M25 via the A322. Most visitors use this motorway route, whilst locals typically arrive along the A324 from Woking or minor roads from Guildford. The village sits amongst Surrey's characteristic heathland on sandy soil that drains quickly after showers. It's home to Britain's largest cemetery, the London Necropolis from 1854, which once operated its own funeral railway from Waterloo.
