Brindley is a small Cheshire village reached via the A51 between Nantwich and Crewe, with the M6 about 10km east providing longer connections. Local routes link to surrounding villages and market towns across the agricultural Cheshire Plain. The settlement honours James Brindley, the renowned 18th-century canal engineer who designed much of England's waterway network, despite no major canals actually passing through the village itself.
