Brimpsfield is a small Cotswolds village on the escarpment above the Severn Vale, reached via the A417 from Gloucester or Cirencester. The honey-stone buildings and elevated position offer excellent countryside views, whilst the B4070 provides a scenic route through typical Cotswold villages. St. Michael's Church houses a striking 14th-century stone effigy of Sir John Giffard.
