Bridekirk is a small Cumbrian village just off the A595, five kilometres from Cockermouth. Most visitors pass through en route to the western Lakes or arrive from nearby towns like Workington. The village sits in typical West Cumbrian countryside between the fells and the Solway coast. St. Bridget's Church houses an extraordinary Norman font carved with Norse mythological scenes.
