Breacrie
Scotland
Scotland
Breacrie lies along the A99 in Scotland's far north, serving as a stopping point on the North Coast 500 touring route. The A99 connects eastward to Thurso and westward toward John o' Groats, whilst the A836 junction provides inland access. About three fast EV chargers serve the area, crucial given the sparse charging network up here. The name derives from Gaelic "breac" meaning speckled, perfectly describing the countless small lochs dotting the surrounding moorland.
