Boltby

Boltby perches on the edge of the North York Moors, where moorland meets the Vale of Mowbray. Most visitors approach via the A19 through Thirsk, then climb northeast on country lanes through Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe. The village sits at elevation, so winter driving requires care on the narrow approach roads. Boltby is famous for its Forest Drive, a scenic toll road winding through Forestry Commission woodland.
