Boherbue

Boherbue is a quiet farming village in north Cork, sitting along the R579 between Mallow and the Kerry border. Most folk reach it via the N20 from Cork city, about 45 minutes north, then head west for 15 kilometres on local roads. The R579 cuts straight through the village, making it handy for anyone travelling between Cork and Kerry. There are a couple of fast charging points for electric cars, and the old Mallow-Tralee railway line still runs nearby, a reminder of when the rails were the lifeline for these rural communities.
