Bodmiscombe lies in east Devon's farming country, reached via the A38 and B3170 through Culmstock. The village sits among rolling fields between the Blackdown Hills and Culm Valley, about 45 minutes from Exeter and 30 from Taunton. Its medieval church houses a remarkably preserved rood screen with carved panels of local saints.
