Blackfort lies in County Tyrone's countryside, nine kilometres from Omagh via the A32. Most visitors approach from Belfast using the M1 to A4, then the A5 through Omagh. The town serves as a hub for the surrounding rural communities, with B-roads connecting to Fintona, Seskinore, and Ecclesville. Electric vehicle charging is available nearby in Omagh.
