Blackfell is a residential area between Gateshead and Sunderland in Tyne and Wear. The A1231 Sunderland Highway provides main access, connecting to the A1(M) for longer journeys, whilst the A194 and A690 serve local traffic from Newcastle and Durham respectively. Over 450 EV charging points are available nearby, and Newcastle Airport is 20km north. The area sits on former colliery land, with many old mining sites now converted to housing estates.
