Bissoe lies in Cornwall's old mining heartland, reached via the A39 from Truro. Local roads connect to Devoran and the coast, whilst longer routes head to the Eden Project or Heligan Gardens. The village sits on the former Redruth and Chasewater Railway, now a walking trail that once carried tin ore to the sea.
