Bishopbriggs lies just north of Glasgow along the Forth and Clyde Canal, accessible via the A803 and close to the M80. This former mining town offers excellent transport links whilst retaining its character, with regular rail services on the North Clyde Line and frequent buses to the city centre. The distinctive cast-iron bridge carrying Kirkintilloch Road over the canal dates from 1790 and remains a working piece of transport heritage.
