Bigton is a small coastal village at the southern tip of Shetland's Mainland, reached via the A970 from Lerwick in about 45 minutes. Located just minutes from Sumburgh Airport, it's perfectly placed for exploring the dramatic southern coastline and serves as a base for visiting the remarkable Jarlshof archaeological site, where 4,000 years of continuous human habitation lie preserved in the coastal sands.
