Bignor sits in the South Downs between Petworth and Arundel, reached via the A29 from Pulborough or minor roads from surrounding villages. The village serves as a gateway to the National Park with footpaths leading onto the downs. It's home to one of Britain's finest Roman villa sites, where 4th-century mosaic floors remain in their original positions.
