Bexleyheath is a major shopping town in southeast London, easily reached via the A2 which runs straight through the centre. The M25 Junction 2 provides quick access for longer journeys, whilst the A207 and A220 handle local traffic from Woolwich and Sidcup respectively. The Red House, built for William Morris in 1859, stands as one of Britain's first Arts and Crafts buildings.
