Bessingham is a small Norfolk market town set among rolling farmland about 15 miles from the coast. The A140 from Norwich connects to the B1149 through Holt, whilst the A148 provides coastal access. Local routes serve nearby Sheringham and Holt for daily trips. The town's 14th-century church boasts a rare octagonal tower, a distinctive Norman feature uncommon in Norfolk.
