Beeslack lies in Midlothian's gentle hills, about 12 kilometres south of Edinburgh along the A701. This small community sits amongst several villages including Penicuik and Milton Bridge, with good links to the A720 bypass. The A701 carries commuters into Edinburgh and long-distance traffic towards the Borders, whilst local roads connect nearby settlements within a few kilometres. Edinburgh Airport lies 25 kilometres northwest, and there are ample EV charging points throughout the area. The local high school draws pupils from across the surrounding rural communities.
