Beckton

united kingdom

Beckton occupies the eastern edge of London along the Thames in Newham, a former industrial zone now dominated by modern housing estates. The A13 provides the main access route, connecting to the North Circular via the A406 and linking through to the M25 for Essex-bound traffic. With over 7,150 public fast chargers nearby and excellent DLR connections, it serves both local residents and airport traffic heading to nearby London City Airport. The area's standout attraction remains the Beckton Alps, an 85-metre artificial ski slope constructed atop a reclaimed landfill site.
