Baunton is a small Cotswolds village just off the A419 north of Cirencester. The A429 from the M40 or A417 from Gloucester provide the main access routes, with local roads connecting to Stratton and surrounding villages. The 12th-century church of St. Mary Magdalene houses an exceptional Norman tympanum showing Christ in Majesty, regarded as one of Gloucestershire's finest examples of Romanesque stone carving.
