Batford is a small Hertfordshire village just north of Harpenden, reached via the A1081 in a couple of minutes from the town center. Most visitors arrive from London via the M25 and M1, then pick up local roads through St. Albans. The area sits on the historic Icknield Way, an ancient trading route that's been in use for millennia.
