Bantham is a small Devon coastal village renowned for its sweeping sandy beach where the River Avon meets the sea. Reach it via the A379 from either Kingsbridge or the A38, though expect narrow lanes near the village. The beach offers spectacular southward views across Bigbury Bay to the iconic Art Deco hotel on Burgh Island, which appears to float at high tide.
