Banteer

Ireland

Ireland

Banteer is a small County Cork town positioned along the Blackwater Valley, about 40 kilometers northwest of Cork city via the N72. The most direct route runs north on the N20 to Mallow, then west through Kanturk. From Dublin, take the M8 south to Mitchelstown before heading west through the valley. The town connects to Killarney on the R576, making it handy for Cork-Kerry travelers. Banteer's 1880s railway station still runs passenger services on the Cork to Tralee line, one of the few small Irish towns where you can arrive by both car and train.
